Lassi Ingredients

Ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped 2 cups
Plain yogurt 1 cup
Milk 1/2 cup
Sugar 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
Ice cubes As needed
Saffron strands For garnish
Chopped pistachios For garnish

Mango Lassi is a popular traditional yogurt-based drink from India, known for its sweet and tangy flavor. This creamy beverage combines the tropical sweetness of ripe mangoes with the smoothness of yogurt, making it a perfect refreshment for hot summer days. It’s often enjoyed as a cooling complement to spicy Indian dishes or simply as a delicious treat on its own.

Directions

  1. In a blender, add the chopped mangoes, yogurt, milk, sugar, and cardamom powder.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add ice cubes and blend again until the ice is crushed and the lassi is chilled.
  4. Pour the lassi into glasses.
  5. Garnish with saffron strands and chopped pistachios.
